IPE Student Award

The Centre for Interprofessional Education established the annual Awards of Merit for Excellence in Interprofessional Education in 2009 to recognize outstanding leaders, educators and students involved in interprofessional education and care. Students in the 11 Health Sciences programs who are graduating in the spring or fall of the award year are eligible for the following award:

Susan J. Wagner Student Leadership Award

This award honours a student at the University of Toronto who demonstrates leadership, dedication and excellence through promotion and engagement of interprofessional education and care.  

Criteria:

  • Completion of the four core learning activities and a minimum of two elective learning activities of the University of Toronto IPE curriculum program.

  • Demonstrates leadership, enthusiasm and engagement promoting interprofessional education (e.g. implementing an IPE elective learning activity, participation in an IPE committee, IPE working group, community outreach).

  • Demonstrates interprofessional mentorship and role modeling (e.g. facilitation of an interprofessional learning activity).
