Partnered Program with the Centre for Faculty Development & The Wilson Centre

Best Practice in Education Rounds (BPER) is a partnered program between the Centre for Faculty Development, The Wilson Centre, and CIPE. Collaborating between our Centres allows us to leverage our expertise and networks to provide more impactful, relevant offerings.

BPER provides the opportunity to share innovative and emerging ideas with a wide audience of interested health professional teachers, educators, leaders, and scholars. BPER aims to reach a diverse audience, including patient/client and family partners and a range of professional/health worker backgrounds.

Program Description

Best Practice in Education Rounds (BPER): Integrating Stories and Science link the theory and practice of health professions education, interprofessional education, faculty development with invited speakers from local, national and international contexts.

Target Audience

Teachers, educators, clinicians, and leaders interested in keeping abreast of health professions education science, trends, and practice.

Open to all health professions faculty and learners (free, but registration needed).

Program Structure

Rounds are held monthly throughout the academic year and are offered virtually via Zoom. Please click here to see our upcoming offerings.  Recordings of past offerings are saved in our BPER Archive.

BPER are accredited group learning activities as defined by the Maintenance of Certification Program of The Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. They are also accredited group learning activities as defined by the College of Family Physicians and Surgeons.
