Interprofessional Education on Climate & Sustainability
CACHE is collaborating with the Collaborative Centre for Climate, Health & Sustainable Care to develop the “Health Impacts of Climate Change: An Interprofessional Response” program for pre-licensure/certification health professional learners. The program will foster interprofessional collaborative leadership capacity in climate change and sustainable care and will include Student-Led Environments, which offer workplace-based leadership learning opportunities that build participants' ability to lead transformational change while addressing identified gaps in the workplace.
The Collaborative Centre for Climate, Health & Sustainable Care is a new multi-faculty academic unit launched in November 2023, similarly situated at the University of Toronto. It is formed by four faculties: the Dalla Lana School of Public Health, the Temerty Faculty of Medicine, the Lawrence Bloomberg Faculty of Nursing, and the Leslie Dan Faculty of Pharmacy. It aims to lead research, education, and practice change with the relationship between climate change efforts and clinical care, health system management, health policy, and public health.
