Build Your Skills as an Interprofessional Facilitator
The Centre for Advancing Collaborative Healthcare & Education (CACHE) is launching a pilot project with University Health Network, Unity Health Toronto, and Holland Bloorview for the LIFT Program—a longitudinal, practice-based training experience for hospital partners.
Join colleagues across TAHSN to strengthen your facilitation, leadership, and interprofessional collaboration skills.
Why Participate?
✅ Gain hands-on experience facilitating IPE activities
✅ Build collaborative leadership and team facilitation skills
✅ Apply evidence-informed approaches from education sciences
✅ Learn alongside clinicians across TAHSN partner organizations
✅ Receive a Certificate of Completion (University of Toronto / CACHE/Partner Hospital)
What You’ll Learn
LIFT Participants will:
- Facilitate interprofessional/team based learning
- Use effective team processes for enhanced collaborative care
- Establish a climate for shared leadership and accountability within small interprofessional groups
Program Commitment (~15 Hours Total)
- Orientation (45 min)
- Facilitator Training (2 hours)
- Asynchronous online modules and resources (various)
- Co-facilitation preparation with a partner (various)
- Facilitate IPE activities in Fall 2026 (6-8 hours)
- Program debrief (1 hour)

📅 LIFT Orientation (all sites)
September 15, 2026
📅 Facilitator Training (TAHSN)
September 22 (5:15–7:15 pm)
or September 23 (2:30 - 4:30 pm)
📅 LIFT Program Debrief Session (all sites)
December 8, 2026 (12:00 - 1:00 pm)
Certification Requirements
To receive your Certificate of Completion, you must:
✔ Attend all mandatory sessions
✔ Complete all learning modules
✔ Facilitate at least 6-8 hrs of IPE activities

Individuals from UHN, Unity Health Toronto, and Holland Bloorview who are interested in:
- Interprofessional education (IPE)
- Teaching and facilitation
- Team-based care and collaborative practice
