The Interprofessional Education (IPE) Curriculum Portfolio at the University of Toronto, collaboratively led by the Centre for Advancing Collaborative Healthcare & Education (CACHE) partnering with 11 health sciences programs and a practice network including more than 15 Toronto hospitals, is delighted to announce that students are now able to sign-up for the Longitudinal IPE Facilitator Training (LIFT) Program. Students wishing to develop facilitation and collaborative leadership skills are encouraged to register for LIFT. This program is open to 100 students who will be paired with a peer; they will co-facilitate together at various Foundational activities as part of this program.
LIFT will provide students with in-depth learning and experiences of effective facilitation while mobilizing evidence-informed approaches from education science. The objectives of the LIFT Program are to:
Develop & practice collaborative leadership skills, including facilitation of effective team processes for shared decision-making & establish a climate for shared leadership, accountability, & collaborative practice.
