Longitudinal Interprofessional Facilitator Training (LIFT) Program for Educators

Open to all educators!

The Interprofessional Education (IPE) Curriculum Portfolio at the University of Toronto, collaboratively led by the Centre for Advancing Collaborative Healthcare & Education (CACHE) partnering with 12 health & social care programs and a practice network including more than 15 Toronto hospitals, is delighted to announce that educators in the workplace are now able to sign-up for the Longitudinal Interprofessional Facilitator Training (LIFT) Program. Educators wishing to develop facilitation and collaborative leadership skills are encouraged to register for LIFT.

 LIFT will provide educators with in-depth learning and experiences of effective facilitation while mobilizing evidence-informed approaches from education science. The objectives of the LIFT Program are to:

  • Develop & practice collaborative leadership skills, including facilitation of effective team processes for shared decision-making & establish a climate for shared leadership, accountability, and collaborative practice.  ​
  • Apply education science approaches during facilitation of IPE Foundational learning activities. ​

It is highly recommended that students review the program criteria to fully understand the commitment and requirements of the program.

LIFT Program Criteria (specific dates have been provided further below)

  • Participate in LIFT program orientation on Tuesday, September 15, 12:15-1:00pm via zoom  (30-45 minutes)
  • Complete Facilitator Workshop: Participants can choose between Tuesday, September 22, 2026 5:15-7:15pm via zoom, OR Wednesday, September 23, 2026 2:30-4:30pm via zoom (2 hours)
  • Complete 3 LIFT e-learning modules and resources prior to each IPE activity (30-45 minutes each)
  • Prepare for activities with your co-facilitator prior to each IPE activity
  • Co-facilitate 3 IPE activities
  • Participate in debrief sessions

Please check all dates before registering to ensure you are able to attend all sessions.

Upon completion of all requirements, you will receive:

  • A Certificate of Completion for the LIFT Program.
